Class Information

In this module students will develop Natural Language Processing techniques to be able to take on Data Science challenges. In the past we have looked at challenges in disinformation online, author deception and predators on chat platforms. In 2020 this will be expanded. This course utilises a challenge driven approach to learn about the state of the art of natural language processing.

Outcomes

Text is the most abundant and unstructured data that we have on the planet. Learning how to work and process text. This module will impart skills in dealing with text data, using machine learning models with text and how to develop state of the art approaches to tackle Data Science challenges. We will utilize industry and research standard NLP and ML frameworks to tackle this course.
